#Google challenges Kayak, Bing Travel with new flight search tool
Got email marketing? We've got best practices from LivingSocial and estate sale guru Everything But The House in our next Insight webinar.
Google on Tuesday launched a new flight search tool that integrates with Google search and will challenge Bing Travel and ticket-finding sites like Kayak and Orbitz.
The new flight search tool is powered by ITA Software, which Google finished acquiring in April. When Google announced its intention to purchase ITA in July 2010, it said it wanted to create a new, easier way for users to find better flight information online. Since that time, travel sites and Bing s search engine have improved to offer new features. But of course, Google has the advantage of being the number one search engine and one of the most used sites on the Web.
Google said that, starting today, people searching for flight information on Google will now have a Flights tab that appears on

#Gulliver - s Travels (Dover Thrift Editions) (0352040000541): Jonathan Swift: Books

Format: Paperback
I am certain that nearly every person in the Western world (and some beyond it) is familiar with the quintessential scene of "Gulliver's Travels," that of a man tied down to the ground and surrounded by tiny humans. I am equally certain however, that only a very small percentage of these people have actually read Jonathan Swift's satirical novel, first published in 1726. If you consider yourself a serious reader, then "Gulliver's Travels" is essential reading, one of the many classic novels that you simply *have* to read before you die.
Some of the more direct parodies concern people and events that have long since passed away, and as such an index or extensive background is required in order to fully understand the allusions that Swift is making. However, a far larg

#Gulliver s Travels Summary
How It All Goes Down
Lemuel Gulliver is a married surgeon from Nottinghamshire, England, who has a taste for traveling. He heads out on a fateful voyage to the South Seas when he gets caught in a storm and washed up on an island. This island, Lilliput, has a population of tiny people about 6 inches tall. They capture Gulliver as he sleeps and carry him to their capital city, where they keep him chained inside a large abandoned temple outside the city walls.
Gulliver becomes a great friend of the Emperor of Lilliput, who introduces Gulliver to many of their customs. For example, instead of staffing his cabinet with capable administrators, the Emperor chooses guys who perform best at a dangerous kind of rope dancing. The Emperor asks Gulliver to help him in his war against Blefuscu, a similarly tiny kingdom across a channel of water. Gulliver agrees and uses his huge size to capture all of Blefuscu's navy.
In spite of the great ser

#Health Information for Travelers to India - Traveler view
Vaccines and Medicines
You should be up to date on routine vaccinations while traveling to any destination. Some vaccines may also be required for travel.
Get travel vaccines and medicines because there is a risk of these diseases in the country you are visiting.
Ask your doctor what vaccines and medicines you need based on where you are going, how long you are staying, what you will be doing, and if you are traveling from a country other than the US.
You may need this vaccine if your trip will last more than a month, depending on where you are going in India and what time of year you are traveling. You should also consider this vaccine if you plan to visit rural areas in India or will be spending a lot of time outdoors, even for trips shorter than a month. Your doctor can help you decide if this vaccine is right for you based on your travel plans. See more in-depth information on

#Keep your home safe while traveling over the holidays
Even though Hudson is consistently voted as one of the safest towns in Ohio, along with several neighboring communities, it is still very important to take precautions to protect your home while you are away.
With the Christmas and New Year’s holidays almost here, for many Ohioans the excitement of getting out of town to visit family and/or friends can be the highlight of the season. You may have planned a special trip, a skiing get-away and for some, who are sensibly deciding to head in the direction of warmer weather, already have your bags packed and your motor running. So exciting – but it is best to ensure your home is secure before you leave – coming home to a ransacked apartment or home is just awful!
Here are some precautions to take to secure your home so you can have peace of mind while you are away.
- Check all the doors and windows to make sure they are secured and locked. This seems lik

#Gulliver s Travels
In A Nutshell
You might have heard people call Gulliver's Travels a satire. A satire is a (generally funny) fictional work that uses sarcasm and irony to poke fun at the general patheticness of humanity – our weakness, our stupidity, all that jazz. Some of our favorite satires include The Onion and The Daily Show . But if you love twenty-first century satire (like we do), you should check out the eighteenth century – those guys were huge fans of a good satire. In fact, some of the greatest thinkers of the eighteenth century, including poet Alexander Pope, mathematician John Arbuthnot, and our main man, Jonathan Swift. could not get enough satire. They even started a club, the Scriblerus Club. to express their general contempt for humanity and for bad writing in particular.
Thus, we think it's fair to say that the early eighteenth century was a good time for haters. This was lucky for Jonathan Swift, si

#Health in Nicaragua - Lonely Planet
Most visitors to Nicaragua travel without incident; however, as a developing nation with poor infrastructure and a tropical climate there are certain medical conditions to be aware of to avoid an unnecessary visit to the doctor.
Stomach problems and diarrhea are the result of bacteria, viruses and parasites which may be present in contaminated food and water. Many other illnesses affecting travelers, such as infected bug bites, rashes and heat exhaustion, are the result of Nicaragua's tropical climate.
Other more serious diseases are carried by infected mosquitoes. Bring clothes that provide protection against bites and repellent.
Drinking Water
Tap water is potable in cities and larger towns but should be avoided in rural areas and throughout the Región Autónoma Atlántico Sur (South Atlantic Autonomous Region; RAAS) and Región Autónoma Atlántico Norte (North Atlantic Autonomous Region; RAAN). In cheaper restaura

#How to Get Cheap Flights - ( 8 pgs. 3 illus. ) - Art of Travel - European and World Backpacking
How to Get Cheap Flights
TWO HUNDRED YEARS ago the cost was seven years to a lifetime of servitude for average people making a one-way crossing of the Atlantic. Now it can be funded by a few days of waiting tables.
When booking through an agent, always specify you want the lowest possible fare, as there may be specials which do not fall under economy or APEX. Moreover, not every agent--even with the budget specialists listed below--will be equally competent or motivated to find the cheapest ticket. They may not know about a great deal the next cubicle has been selling all week, or the commission may not merit bothering much.
Likewise, buying a ticket on the Internet is not the same as getting the cheapest price. As with any travel agent, you may be offered the lowest price, an average price, or a test price. You still have to make comparisons and move bol

#Africa - Lonely Planet
Something special about Africa touches the soul; it is a continent of 54 immensely diverse countries that is both deeply troubled and profoundly uplifting.
Natural Beauty
Whether you're a wide-eyed first-timer or a frequent visitor, Africa cannot fail to get under your skin. The canvas upon which the continent's epic story is written is itself astonishing, and reason enough to visit. From the tropical rain forests of Central Africa to the endless rippling dunes and waterless tracts of the Sahara. from the signature savannah of the east to jagged mountains and green-tinged highlands all across the continent, Africa has few peers when it comes to natural beauty.
New Africa
Even as the past retains its hold over the lives of many Africans, just as many have embraced the future, bringing creativity and sophistication to the continent's cities and urban centres. Sometimes this New Africa is expressed in a restless search for sol

#Adrian - s Travel Gadgets
The following are the travel gadgets I always bring while travelling:
GoPro2 HD:
When traveling, we want to be as smart and light as possible. I dont mind spending a bit more products are going to produce good results. Im not a professional photographer. I’m a light weight traveler. So I recommend the GoPro range. It’s one of the best Video Cameras in the market. It’s very unique, different and most popular. It features a small Fish Eye Lens capturing 170 Degrees. That’s huge! It’s also very power efficient as there is no display, take photographs and videos, and look at them much later. No time zooming in and out at party shots, just take them or take burst shorts. Go Pro is the best when doing adventure, especially Motorbike Riding around Thailand or Goa. Its only downfall is lack of flash so night shots can be a bit blurred. Still, I used the camera in video mode in some of the best clubs in the world.
