Adult Renewals (Age 16 Years and Older)

• Adult renewal applicants residing in the U.S. may apply by Mail (recommended), or in person at a Passport Agency .
• Adult renewal applicants residing abroad (except those residing in Canada) must apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate .

Processing Method: Overseas Processing

* To be eligible, you must make an appointment at a passport Agency and provide proof of travel within 2 weeks, or 4 weeks if you also need to apply for a visa.

If you have a life or death emergency or other need for urgent travel abroad, the Passport Agency or Center will do everything feasible to issue a passport in time for your trip.

No additional Fees Delivery by USPS Priority Mail for new passport book; documents may be returned by First Class Mail

No additional Fees Overnight delivery service is not available for passport cards. Passport cards are delivered via First Class Mail only

$14.85 Delivery by USPS Express Mail for new passport book; documents may be returned by First Class Mail Please note only the passport book will be delivered by overnight mail.
