#travel pro luggage # TravelPro or Samsonite? Need new luggage fast!I have Travel Pro Crew 5 22 Rollaboard. For 10 years. Expandable. With the indestructible soft sided material. Fantastic. I think they re up to Crew 8-9 now, but I have everything I need in this one. I like that the wheels are protected. The handle is sturdy when pulled up, doesn t flip flop around. I like the design of the hangered toiletries bag which can immediately go up on the bathroom door. The icing though is the handle wrap I bought that velcroes on itself. The colour and pattern allows my bag to be noticed immediately. I love the spinner wheels. We have been using them exclusively for the last four years and have had no issue with them breaking. I just purchased a new Samsonite suitcase. It has the hanging toiletries bag and is an easy to identify bright pink. It was on sale on Amazon for a bit over $100. The original price was several hundred. I am enjoying it, but if I purchased again I would buy a size less than the 30 . It is over-weight long before it is full and there is no point to struggle with a large piece of luggage if you only have it half full. I buy the least expensive, easiest to identify, most undesirable looking piece of luggage I can find. I hope to get two years of wear out of it, and so far nothing we have purchased in the last seven years has died. My husband did have a bag that was completely destroyed on it s first flight, but the handle mechanism became stuck in the luggage equipment, and that just happens sometimes. I have a really ugly green suitcase that simply refuses to die or even look worn. I think I have had it for nearly nine years, and it was some no name brand from a department store. The only reason we have to replace luggage is that our children borrow it when they buy too much while visiting and need an extra suitcase to get back home. Some how we never seem to see those suitcases again. My cheap suitcase works just as well as my son-in-laws very expensive Tumi, and I never worry that someone will walk off with it before I reach the luggage carousel. No one wants a bright pink or bright green suitcase.
