Airline tickets are so cheap now.

Is it just me or are airline tickets very cheap these days? I know it is due to the financial problems around the world and the airline industry is struggling. But it also seems like this is leading to lots of great offers. As a Norwegian, we are located in the outskirts of Europe. but with Lufthansa sales now I can get to places like Florence and Bologna for 230$ and I find that quite cheap. I can fly to NYC for 630$ and I just bought tickets to Dubai for 400$. By the way. I have been to Florence, Rome, Venice. is Bologna also worth a trip? Maybe I should convince my wife that we should take a weekend trip there in May. Lufthansa also had an offer to go to Johannesburg for only 430$

Concerning the good offers. I m flying to Malaysia in a couple of weeks and I m taking advantage of a great Emirates offer. London to Bangkok was only 1940$ in business class :-)

It feels terrible to feel excited about these offers in a world that is in turmoil but I can t help it. There are so many great offers these days and I just wish that I had more time and money to travel.
