I booked mine and my wife's tickets from Best and less travel parramatta. We have travelled quite a bit and booked through many agents but this was absolutely the worst experience we had.

After reaching airport, we were told our ticket is not valid. They had put some wrong details in the ticket. When i called them I was told to wait for couple of minutes and the management staff would call in couple of minutes. After waiting for abt 15 mins I called up again. When I explained the problem. the first thing I was told was "Please come back. we will try to get you to tomorrow's flight. It is not our fault. The airline might be doing this coz the flight is full". After arguing for a while they asked me to handover the phone to the customer service staff of the airline only to offend the staff so much that they denied to offer any help as they talked rudely ... SCOTTISH INDEPENDENCE: A director of Barrhead Travel has defended his decision to send out a company-wide email in which he says a yes vote in the Scottish independence referendum would be a disaster .

Non-executive director Bill Munro sent out a memo to all staff on February 24 this year in which he warned of the consequences that Scotland becoming independent would have for the travel retailer.

The email includes points from a report by “banking expert” Robert Lyddon on the fiscal implications of Scottish independence .

The memo read: “For Barrhead Travel and most if not all travel companies it will be a complete disaster, especially within branches in England and Ireland.

European countries are constantly improving their intercity rail networks and high-speed trains have slashed travel times around the continent. Spain alone has built 3,000km of track for trains travelling at speeds up to 300km/h.

This spring, rail travel will become even more convenient as the Spanish and French rail networks integrate, allowing passengers in one country to travel by high-speed rail to a major city in the other. In mid-April, France’s state-owned rail company SNCF plans to start running high-speed service between Paris and Barcelona, while Spain’s national train operator RENFE has already debuted high-speed service between Barcelona and Madrid. Final details have yet to be announced, but it seems reasonable to predict a travel time between Paris and Madrid of nine hours; driving a similar route would take about 15.

Excellent. Darren Mckay (Consultant) was a real star. We missed our Flights to join our cruise yesterday.we booked direct with MSC sailing on thier ship the Spendida. MSC were not interested in our plight. Because we missed the flight MSC advised us we would have to arrange and pay for travel to catch the cruise ship in Tenerife. They also said we would have to pay for the return flight home again.although we had already paid for this I can tell you all we were in a right mess and did not have a clue how to fix everything.We decided to ask Barrhead Travelin Livington for help.We had to find reasonable flights to reach our cruise ship. No, its a place to avoid making travel arrangements due to the common scams, etc. Use a decent travel agent in another part of the city, or even better do it yourself. All the domestic airlines can be booked online, and there are lots of reliable hotel booking services like asiarooms.com, sawadee.com, agoda.com and others.

The only time I read or hear about problems with travel agencies are those in the Khao San Road area. It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the whole barrel.

In over a dozen years I have never had a problem with a travel agency providing what I paid for. But none of those travel agencies were in the KSR area. Most of the travel agencies I used for myself and booking tours for arriving friend were in the Sukhumvit area or in Pattaya .
