Although many people think of it as another one of the Caribbean islands, Bermuda is actually located in the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately 650 miles east of North Carolina. A self-governing overseas territory of the United Kingdom, Bermuda is a popular vacation destination for families, honeymooners and people who are simply looking for a place to unwind.

Travel Documents

According to the Bermuda Department of Tourism, adult visitors from the United States must present a either a valid US passport or a government-issued photo identification, an official copy of a birth certificate and official proof of passport application in order to enter Bermuda. Children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult may present either a valid US passport or proof of passport application. Children under the age of 16 who are traveling alone must present either a valid US passport or an official copy of their birth certificate in addition to their official passport application status documentation.
