Can t thanks these guys enough for being there. I had been meaning to buy my Japan rail pass for at least 8 weeks but, thinking it was an online voucher and payment thing , I kept carrying the task forward. Then I finally did proper research only to find you order the pass online but it has to be physically sent to you. 5 or 6 working days! Doh! I ran out of time! HIS processed my pass purchase in less than 20 minutes. Fast, friendly and ON IT. Thanks for being there Casey.

This is the place to go on the Westside if you are interested or are going to Japan.  They have several agents who are super knowledgeable about the Country.

It s been a lifelong dream of my dad s to visit the motherland and 2014 marked the year we finally took the plunge and decided to book a trip to Japan. But where to start?

We knew we didn t want to be shuffled around like cattle on a tour bus with a large group achi-kochi all over Japan, but at the same time, we weren t comfortable with having to contact hotels in Japan and set up the accommodations ourselves. So, with a brief search on the Internet, we found Destination Japan, which brought us to HIS.

From the beginning, Mike Kinuhata @ HIS was amazingly patient and thorough with his service! Despite the time difference (we are located in Hawaii), Mike was still able to respond to our NUMEROUS questions in a timely and patient manner! We went with the Discover Japan 10-day package and added on 3 extra days in Tokyo with no booking problems. The itinerary that Mike set up for us was sufficiently detailed and was truly a great help in getting us from point A to point B (and C and D and E). Although it was a fun challenge navigating the various JR Shinkansen stations with our JR Rail Pass (provided by HIS as part of the package), it would have been far less fun without the handy itinerary and information to help us get from city to city and to the booked hotels.

Booked hotels, 7-day JR Rail Pass and a helpful itinerary not enough? Well, toss in a couple half-day tours (Kyoto Tokyo), an all-day Hakone Pass, 10 days (well, 13 for us) straight of breakfast buffets included and transportation to and from Narita Airport. Still not enough? Well. don t be greedy. Haha.

Seriously, this two-week jaunt through Japan was indeed the trip of a lifetime, and much thanks to HIS for making it possible and far less of a headache than it could have been. Thanks, Mike! And thanks HIS! I can t wait to return!
