I hate to be predictable here, but stay AWAY from this place. It is not worth your time or any free trip they may offer. My husband and I have never been treated so unprofessionally in our lives.

We made the mistake of signing up for a free trip at a bike show we attended a few weeks prior. The cool dude at the booth said all we had to do was set up a time to meet with one of their travel agents where we would learn about CTC s other travel deals and offers. Just for meeting with them we would receive a free 7 day trip at one of their condo locations. We were skeptical, but also about 3 beers deep and figured eh, what the hell.

We assumed the meeting would cover various travel packages and anticipated some aggressive up selling from the agent, but we had no idea what we were in for. The meeting ended up being an interactive 90 minute power point on how CTC Travel/Pulaski Tickets Tours would make us a travel agent, and thus would receive all travel booked through them at a heavily discounted, travel agent rate. All WE had to do was write a check for 10k THAT NIGHT and pay yearly dues of $199. I cannot speak to whether or not the travel deals they presented are legit or not, but as we were not prepared to write them a check for 10 grand it was a dead issue.

Once the preso was completed, an agent came to our table to meet with us one on one. My husband made it clear to him that while it all sounded great, it was not right for us, was way out of our budget, and we would NOT be writing a check of any kind, but thank you for your time. The initial agent seemed nice enough, but at our firm no seemed a bit like he was trying to bite back some irritation. It was an awkward exchange. At that point he said he would get our free gifts and we assumed the worst was over, and would soon be on our way. When he returned with his supervisor my husband made a joke that he was sorry they didn t get the other customer who was in the meeting with us, as she claimed to be a avid traveler and seemed like she was ready to sign up. At this statement both men rolled their eyes and proceeded to totally trash talk this other customer saying they didn t buy a word she was saying and implied she was full of it and wasted their time. I was pretty surprised by their candid negativity toward this customer especially when she WALKED PAST the conference room again and could have overheard everything they were saying about her! At this point I could only assume she did not choose to sign up with CTC and these guys were pissed so they had no issue talking crap about her to complete strangers!

Once the supervisor sat down with us he started in on how he could give us an even better deal and he wanted to help us out, blah, blah, blah. Perhaps his intention was genuine, but the whole sales pitch and tone of the conversation reminded me of being trapped in a car dealership.  I don t use the word trapped lightly either.  It was hard to not feel like we were being held captive after having been foolishly lured into their van with the promise of a free trip. Also, as it was 9:15 on a week night, and we had already been there for 2 hours, we were anxious to be on our way home.  In so many words my husband said, look, we don t want to waste your time here, you could drop the cost to a dollar and we would not sign up, but thank you anyway.  After a bit more back and forth the supervisor became IRATE. He started raising his voice to us and said you know what, I m just trying be be polite here and help you out. I don t need this. You think I CARE if you sign up. Get out of here. Seriously. Get out! As we sat there in slightly stunned, incredibly uncomfortable silence, he curtly explained our free gift trip to us, threw the paperwork at me and said THERE. Get out.  At which point we were dismissed with a flick of his hand. His anger, rudeness and lack of professionalism was honestly, shocking.

So, in summation, if you are interested in being bullied into spending 5-10 thousand dollars by condescending jerks, you may be able to save some $$ on travel. If for some reason that is not something you are interested in, prepare to be treated like a piece of dog crap being scraped from the bottom of a shoe. Or, just learn from our mistake, and avoid this place all together. You re welcome.
