I recently got back from a surprise trip to Iceland for my birthday. Since it was a surprise, I didn t know a whole lot about Iceland before my first visit, although I had some ideas. More than anything though, I wish I knew a few things before my first visit.

1. Easy to visit I remember writing the same thing about Puerto Rico and at the risk of being repetitive, I think it s an important fact to emphasize. We were able to have a well-rounded and full trip to Iceland in the span of just four days because the flight was less than five hours from the East Coast. I got to Reykjavik faster than I could ve reached Seattle. Who knew? Well apparently Icelandair had a good idea, because they have turned the four-day long weekend into a well-oiled, travel machine. The experience was easy, well priced and I can t wait to take advantage of the proximity again. Soon, I hope.

We re looking for Christmas 2016, which a lot of the holidays and flights aren t out yet here, probably in the new year.

Flights to Barbados on Thomas Cook around this Christmas period are currently around £900 per person.

Jools1979, are you really able to get flights around Christmas at £319 return? This is not much more than the airport duty ,security charges, and fuel surcharges (if applied).

Could you actually be talking about offseason? How far ahead are you booking your flight? When do you travel?

I d really like to know as I d like flights at this price too.

BA is currently showing £646 in November 2017 which is the farthest ahead bookable on the BA.com website. Whether they will hold these prices for the peak season Xmas period would remain to be seen.

Hi I bookes an all-inclusive Holiday with Travelsoon on the Internet - On arrival in Cyprus Papos we were take to Eleni Holiday Village, and the duty manger told us we were not on his guest list?

He said they do it all the time.

He took our accommodation voucher and rang the number on the voucher, after half an hour he said I have found somewhere you can stay, we asked why we can not stay at the Eleni Village, and he said we are Full.

He said the agents just take the bookings then hope they can accommodate the bookings.

A cab took us to the Paffian Sun Holiday Village.

On arrival we asked who sent us here and to check we will not get an extra bill etc-

We were told they did not know who sent us here and did not know anything regarding our situation apart from we can stay at their Holiday Village as an All-Inclusive Guest?
