We know how important your pet is to you. That's why we offer a pet friendly option for travelling with your pet on Qantas.

On both Australian domestic and international flights, you must book and lodge your pet through Qantas Freight prior to commencing your travel. If you wish to travel on the same flight as your pet, you will need to confirm your pet's booking prior to making your own reservation.

Only service dogs can be carried into the passenger cabin of the aircraft.

Recent changes to Qantas' Travelling with Pets policy For all bookings ticketed on/after 1 December 2014, all passengers travelling on Qantas domestic flights within Australia will now be required to book and lodge their pet with Qantas Freight prior to commencing travel. Pets are no longer part of Qantas' free checked baggage allowance on Qantas domestic flights.
