Panorama Resort is situated on the edge of the Bugaboos in the Purcell Mountain Range, in the Columbia Valley recreational area. It's breathtaking scenery surrounds an intimate mountain retreat style village. Panorama has a vertical drop of 1,300 vertical meters and offers skiing/ boarding on a variety of runs from double black diamond glades to uncrowded wide open groomed runs. The Beckie Scott Nordic Centre offers groomed trails for classic and skate skiing. Panorama also provides the setting for helicopter skiing outings and Snowmobiling. There are many exciting trails to ride from Panorama Mountain Village. Here are some valuable Rules of the Trail to keep you safe when you're in the mountains. Panorama resort publishes a comprehensive hiking brochure called "Explore the Alpine Zone". This brochure has a map showing 12 trails that range from 30 minutes to 6 hours. The degree of difficulty is provided. As well as hiking around Panorama, Village guides are also available to take you into the Purcell Mountains. The town of Invermere is located at the base of Panorama Resort, 18 kms away (about a 15 to 30 minute trip by car). Summer fun at Panorama includes the heated slope-side water park, hot pools, tennis, championship golf courses, horseback riding and kayaking or whitewater river raft trips. The swimming pool/hot pools at the Panorama Springs complex is accessible for guests who rent from an owner who has paid for the privilege. Panorama Village offers a range of restaurants from cafeteria style to neighbourhood pub.
