The dry season occurs from April to September, with less humidity, dry days and sunnier weather. This is traditionally the busiest time for holiday goers. The severity between the seasons differs depending on where in Indonesia you are. The dry season generally gets the better surf as the swell comes from the S-SW. Not uncommon to get long periods of low to no wind during this time. The best time to visit is between April and October, during the dry season. This usually brings a dramatic change to the level of tourism in the more popular areas. So it is definitely worth booking early, especially for the school holidays.
