Currency:

The currency used in the United States is the U.S. dollar. All major credit cards are widely accepted in the United States. Visit http://www.xe.com/ for current exchange rates.

Banks:

Normal banking hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. excluding public holidays. 24 hour Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) can be found throughout the city and campus. The ATMs on campus are located on the east side of the Memorial Union complex and at The Silo.

Climate:

Davis enjoys a very enviable climate of brilliant warm summers and mild winters. Generally in September, days are warm and nights are cool. Weather in September can be variable, with a possibility of rain.

Travel and health insurance:

The conference does not provide insurance to attendees. We strongly recommend that you take out insurance policies to cover medical and travel expenses.

Transportation:

Getting around Davis is fairly easy. The fastest and most common way to get around Davis is by riding a bike, given that the campus is located right next to downtown Davis.
