#how to find cheapest flights # Cheapest flight US to Europe?London, United Kingdom Jul 30, 2013, 2:33 PM Hi all, I know this is a very general question, and sorry this is a lot of info and I know you guys aren t travel agents, but I m ready to commit to these flights and I just wanted to see if I could possibly do more searching and find a cheaper flight. I was looking for outbound May 24, 2014 and returning June 27, 2014 (approximately). I live in Philadelphia so I could easily fly out of PHL or Newark. (I d like to avoid JFK just because I know it is prone to delays and lots of traffic to get there.) I am pretty much open to flying anywhere in Western Europe, but our ultimate destination is Rome when we fly in so it would be best if it was accessible by train or a cheap flight connection from there. On the way back, I will definitely be flying out of London but any nearby airport is fine. What I have right now: Newark to Reykjavik to Paris (will train to Rome from Paris) $448 London to Reykjavik to Newark $573 All flights are on Iceland Air which I ve only heard good things about and the combined price is $1,020. I don t mind the connections in Reykjavik (I actually want to stay over night on the way over because the city looks so beautiful) and I ve heard the airport is small and easy to navigate for layovers. So in summary - is $1,000 roundtrip from the East Coast US to Europe probably about the cheapest I will get? Some people have told me to wait for $800-900 but I am not sure the possible savings of $1-200 is worth possibly paying more later by not doing these flights?
