The owner of Global Philosophy Travel, Lisa (pictured in Italy's Dolomiti Mountains) either personally customizes Italy travel packages or hand selects the best agent to customize the itinerary, all from firsthand experience of course! After living in Italy Lisa moved home to the States in order to open the travel agency and share her knowledge, love and enthusiasm for Italy and the Italian people. It is a dream come true for Lisa to travel Italy as often as possible, sometimes escorting small group tours of 10-14 travelers. Travel Italy Idea 1. Cinque Terre; Milan/Bergamo; Italian Lakes/Tuscany/Umbria; Rome

Fly into Genoa or Turin and transfer to Portofino on the Cinque Terre

4-Nights Portofino

Train to Milan via Genoa

2-Nights Milan (time to see Leonardo s Last Supper, explore the magnificent Duomo including the roof, wander and shop, visit the Brera district similar to SoHo, and a day dedicated to the spectacular village of Bergamo outside of Milan.)

Train to one of the following for 5-Nights Lake Como/Lake Maggiore/Venice or Verona/etc. OR train Milan to Florence, sightsee for the day, pick up rental car and drive to either undiscovered Umbria deemed the Green Heart of Italy or scenic Tuscany for 3-nights.

Return car to Rome, 2-Nights Rome before flying home (I suggest spending at least a night in the city you are flying home from).

Train to Bolzano in the Italian Alps; 6-Nights Bolzano (village center or a vineyard location) with opportunities to hike the Alps and Dolmiti mountains as well as discover the beautiful Italian/German town of Bolzano. The Ice Man is available for viewing here and is a very moving experience.

Train Bolzano to Venice; 4-Nights Venice (opportunity to visit Lake Garda, the islands of Burano and Murano in the Venetian Lagoon, etc.)
