Previously I mentioned that I managed to bag super affordable tickets to Paris, thanks to a flight comparison website.
There are a couple of sites offering the same service, but the mother of all flight comparison websites has got to be Momondo. It not only compares airfares from many different airlines, it also saves your time but helping you compare deals from other flight comparison websites.
Budget travelers, you will love this. Let me show you how it works.
Okay, assuming that I m planning to go to Paris for a week or less, earlier in October. I don t have the exact dates for the trip yet, but my dates are flexible (as long as it s within the first two weeks of the month). My main priority is getting the most affordable tickets for the trip!
On the homepage of the website, I keyed in the details and clicked search flights.
Once the site s searched for all available flights, on top of the page, these bars will appear.

Searching for easy economical travel arrangements? Looking for a cheap flight and easy? How do you arrange your travel options to get the biggest bang for your buck?
Be flexible. If you don't have a set schedule then think about traveling in the off season and eh off days. You may think of your vacations as starting on Sunday and ending on Saturday. However, if you can get that old standard out of your head you have a lot to gain by the mid week empty seat arrangement of the airlines.
Business runs on a 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday schedule, so most of the business seats comply with that. As for the family traveler, they tend to be stuck on the same treadmill with the added increase travel around the holidays. Airlines know this so their pricing schedule takes this into account. If you can side step this by taking a red eye, or the early morning flight, you can save on your tickets.
If you have to the opportunity to now 60 day ahead of time where you need to be

Most people in the UK think that travelling by train is an expensive way to get out and about. The following train ticket prices show how much an open return will cost you between two locations and also the total cost per mile. If you still think that train travel is expensive then you should compare it to the cost of running your car .
In some cases train travel is far cheaper (especially if you have an expensive car), but sometimes it can end up costing you more, especially if you include bus or taxi rides at the other end. The train ticket price also vary a great deal depending on whether you pre-book (on the internet), or just turn up on the day. With petrol prices increasing. pre-booked train tickets are almost always cheaper than travelling by car!
All train travel prices are for open return tickets and the milage stated is the distance a car would have to travel from one town/city centre to the other and back again

Rugged Mongolia is an adventure destination where travellers can see the traditions of the past still practised today by hardy nomads dwelling on the country's vast steppes and deserts.
Mongolia's nomadic culture is famous – visitors can sleep in a herder's ger (traditional felt yurt), help round up the sheep, ride horses and simply 'get back to nature'. The legacy of Chinggis Khaan and resurgent nationalist pride sharpens the experience. A culture of tremendous hospitality makes locals more accessible. In a world beset by locks and gates, it's refreshing to meet people willing to open their doors to strangers.
For most of the 20th century, Mongolia was sealed off from the world; seemingly so distant that the very name of the country became a byword for remoteness and isolation. The 21st century promises the polar opposite as Mongolia has opened up to the world, its citizens are travelling the globe and outsiders are arriving by the planeload for business an

For those of you traveling today to see the fam for Thanksgiving (or getting away from them), you'll be fine weather-wise if you're heading West, but brace yourself if home is in the Midwest or on the East Coast. According to Weather, there will be showers in the Midwest from the Corn Belt to the Great Lakes region and in Upstate NY and Pennsylvania .
Well that's unusual. The United Arab Emirates - a hot, wealthy area known for building elaborate indoor skiing complexes - recently experienced its first real snowfall in a generation. The northern emirate of Ras al Khaimah reported that a five kilometer area in its Jebel Jais mountain range was blanketed with ten centimeters of snow on Friday, a situation so rare that the local dialect doesn't even have a word for it.
Visitors to the UAE shouldn't hold out any hope for further flurries, though. Temperatures are above freezing once again in the mountains, and so hot on the coast that they're

One of the biggest questions for anyone who s planning a trip to Italy is what to do about buying Italy train tickets. Should I get a rail pass? Should I buy tickets in advance? Should I wait to buy tickets as I go? There are a few options in this department, and the best one for you will depend on the kind of trip you re taking (among other things), but here are some things to think about when you re looking at buying Italian train tickets.
Many years ago, train travel in Italy used to be so cheap that unless you were visiting other countries in Europe or were planning to take only long-distance or overnight trains you were almost always going to be better off buying individual train tickets in Italy as you traveled. As the Italian rail network has added more high-speed trains and raised ticket prices as a result and especially since Italy is now part of the European Union and no longer on the lira currency, that blanket advice no longer applies to everyone.

The world’s favourite flying car Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – the old bomb with the James Bond-style pimpin’ under the bonnet – will be the guest star at Wanaka Warbirds and Wheels Museum for the month of April. On loan from film producer Sir Peter Jackson, the famous winged jalopy from Ian Fleming’s book and the classic 1968 children’s movie only makes rare appearances.
Four long years after the Canterbury earthquakes forced him off his famous patch in Cathedral Square, iconic orator, thinker and, er, wizard The Wizard of New Zealand has returned to the spot that helped to make his name and elevated him to the status of the country s favourite and official spellslinger (sorry, Gandalf). If you re in Christchurch, you need to get along for a listen!
You’ve heard of dinner and a movie, but how about dinner in a movie? Lord of the Rings fans can now get their gastronomic geek on and dine like a Hobbit at The Green Dragon Inn by taking an Evening Dinner

You can find an inexpensive flight to Mexico anytime except between January and April. (Photo: mexico scenery image by Cosette from Fotolia.com )
It s important to be flexible when looking for a cheap flight to Mexico. When it s cold up north, everyone wants to head south, so the cheapest fares aren t going to be available between January and April. The best time to visit Mexico is between September and December or from late April until the end of June.
Step 1
Buy your tickets early. According to Brian Elk of Priceline.com, I think most airline sources would agree that anything outside 21 days before takeoff is considered an advance-purchase ticket. Airlines are different, but generally, once you hit 15 days before the flight, the price begins to go up, then it goes up again at the seven-day mark. So if you want a retail ticket, buy it at least 21 days out for the best price.
Step 2
Fly into Mexico City. According to the website Experience Sa

I have intentionally kept this section fairly generic and not made it specific to England Travel since it applies to any travel to any country (and within country for that matter).
So, it should really sayHow I plan my travel. - In no way I'm an expert and experienced tourist guide or have anything to do with the travel agencies. I'm an avid traveller like some of you and I like to do my own planning and organize things. To me that is as important as the travel itself.
I like going on short trips (typically upto a week) to one country at a time rather than longer trips covering multiple places. I prefer to do my own research months in advance and do all travel, insurance, hotel, passes bookings myself rather than relying on a travel agent to do it for me. With Internet its possible very easily and it saves money too. I have nothing against the guided tours or touring companies, its just that for me, planning and deciding what to do / see gives great

Escape to NZ in a Campervan!
“Look, Mom, the freedom to sleep around!”
Perhaps not the best way to start a three-week vacation in New Zealand with your mother, but the catchy slogan for Escape Rentals bypassed the traffic signals between my brain and my mouth. Fortunately, my mom was keen for an adventure, and the idea of living out of a campervan decorated with hearts and peace signs and going by the name of “Woodstock” didn’t have her looking for the first shuttle back to the Auckland airport.
Our Escape van came with everything we needed to survive on the road and then some; stove, sink, cooler, double bed, linens, foldable chairs for relaxing on the beach, dishes and cutlery, a bedside lamp and endless add-ons ranging from picnic table to solar shower. Each of the company’s 250 vans has its own unique paint job, decorated at the whim of local artists and giving my mom and me a unique sidekick to feature in snapshots for our family and friends back home. Sri Lanka has more than 3,550 years of continuous written history by means of the Mahawansha, and was also mentioned in several ancient Indian texts. One of the most famous is the Ramayana. in which the island, which was referred to as Lanka, was the island fortress of the king Ravana, who captured the wife of Rama an incarnation of the Hindu God, Vishnu. Legend has it that Hanuman the monkey god flew over to Lanka and destroyed the capital by setting it on fire, while Rama and his remaining troops later crossed over from the mainland by building a land bridge across the sea.
The Sinhalese arrived in Sri Lanka late in the 6th century BC, probably from northern India. Buddhism was introduced beginning in about the mid-3rd century BC, and a great civilization developed at such cities as Anuradhapura (kingdom from c. 200 BC to c. 1000 AD) and Polonnaruwa (c. 1070 to 1200). Other notable but relatively more recent kingdoms are Dambadeniya, Yapahuwa, Gampola, Kandy and Jaf
