Frankfurt, the ISC Destination in 2016

Known as the world’s smallest metropolis, with a population of slightly over 690,000, Frankfurt is also considered Germany’s most international city. In fact, one out of three people living here don’t speak German as their first language. It’s probably also comforting to know that no matter where you come from, you are sure to meet people who speak your language, as well as spot a restaurant that serves your favorite food.

(Tutorials, Conference Exhibition, Sunday, June 19 - Wednesday, June 22)

Messe Frankfurt

Tor Ost (East Gate)

Hall 3

Brüsseler Strasse

60327 Frankfurt am Main

If you are relying on public transport to get to Messe Frankfurt: please use trams no. 16 (direction Ginnheim) or 17 (direction Rebstockbad) or U-Bahn no. 4, which you can catch at the Frankfurt central station. Your stop will be Festhalle/ Messe. From there, please proceed to “Eingang Tor Ost” (East Gate).

If you’re flying in, please catch a train to the central station and switch to tram 16, 17 or U-Bahn no. 4.

Please do not use the S-Bahn as you’ll have quite a way to walk to the conference center from the train stop.

Workshop Venue

(Workshops, Thursday, June 23)

The ISC High Performance workshops will be held on June 23 at the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel, located on Hamburger Allee across from the Congress Center.

The ISC High Performance official hotel partner is the Marriott Hotel which is located right across the street from the ISC Conference and Exhibition. All rooms are refurbished and feature an elegant contemporary design, and also host three restaurants.

For group bookings of 10 rooms or more, or any other queries, please contact their accommodation department at +49 30 300669 0 or email .

Frankfurt Old Town

Römerberg is the most beautiful square in Frankfurt’s Altstadt (Old Town) and it is the first stop for many visitors. It is filled with architecture dating back from the medieval era to modern times. It is also home to an array of markets, fairs, tournaments and festivals. This is the perfect spot to buy souvenirs, visit cafes and restaurants.

Rüdesheim am Rhein

We understand that you’re predominately here for the conference. However, it would be a shame to miss out on the scenic views of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main, and the Rhine valley which is home to many local vineyards. For a rundown of available boat tours, please click here .

Rüdesheim am Rhein is a picturesque winemaking town which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can get there easily via train in less than 1 ½ hours. Trains depart from the Frankfurt central station every 30 minutes or so.

Visa for Germany

If you need a visa to enter Germany, you might want to do that in advance, as it takes about several weeks/months for the German embassy or consulate to process your application. Please check the website of the Federal Foreign Office to find out if you require a visa to enter Germany.

As a rule, visa applicants must appear in person at the embassy or consulate responsible for their place of residence to submit their application, supported by all necessary documents.

Visa application forms can be obtained from the embassy or consulate free of charge (in the local language). Please consult the local German embassy or consulate for more information.

Invitation Letter for Visa Applications

As we are only able to generate invitation letters for visa application through the registration site, it is important that you complete the online registration process to obtain your letter.
