Incident created 30/11/2015 13:09 Last updated 01/12/2015 01:12 Route affected

Between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury / Birmingham International

Train operator affected Arriva Trains Wales ;  Description

A river flooding the railway between Machynlleth and Caersws means that trains are currently unable to run between these stations.

Buses are replacing trains between Machynlleth and Newtown. Bus journey times are being extended because some roads in the area are closed as a result of flooding. Some buses will be extended to call at Shrewsbury.

Because of the risk of flooding on roads in the area, passengers were advised not to commence any journeys yesterday. Passengers with tickets dated yesterday, may use these on services today, Tuesday 1 December.

Disruption is expected to continue until 11:00.
