Lesbian Travel: Argentina

Argentina

  • Gay and Lesbian marriages have been legal in Argentina since  July 22, 2010.
  • Buenos Aires has been called the gay Mecca of Argentina.
  •  Buenos Aires seems to have a lot more gays than lesbian visitors. There are lgbt-friendly (mostly gay) bars, hotels, saunas, and tours – but no exclusively- lesbian bars, lesbian hotels and no lesbian saunas I could find.
  •  The night scene in Buenos Aires start past midnight until about 7 am – could that be the reason?
  • I did see a lesbian wedding company and travel companies that cater to all LGBTs.
  • Travel tours offer trips to wineries and farms, hiking, going the beach coast, sports activities and more.
  • Olivia Cruise ( the biggest lesbian travel company) offers a Buenos Aires to Rio De Janeiro Cruise.

About Argentina:

  •  the Argentine Republic, is a federal republic located in south eastern South America.
  • Argentina is the 8th largest country in the world, and has a population of 41 million as of 42.2 million as of 2013.
  • Autonomous City of Buenos Aires is the capital and largest city of Argentina.
  • Spanish is the official language of Argentina.
  • People from Argentina are called Argentine, Argentinian, Argentinean (I’m not sure what they prefer to be called).
  • Argentineans are predominantly Catholic. Pope Francis was born in Buenos Aires.
