The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to the exclusion zones around the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear facility identified by the Japanese authorities. See Fukushima

The tropical cyclone (typhoon) season runs from June to December with most activity between July and September. You should monitor the progress of approaching storms and follow instructions issued by the local authorities, including any evacuation orders. See Tropical cyclones

There may be some disruption to transport and other infrastructure in the parts of north-eastern Honshu most affected by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Check with the local authorities or your travel company before you go.
