Warning - MISA TRavel airfares.com.sg

I have just had the misfortune of using the www.airfares.com.sg to book some flights. I had expected the same easy and quick service of websites such as webjet.com.au, where you choose your flight, book and then pay all in one easy to follow process, all in one sitting; a confirmation and e-ticket being emailed immediately.

Not so! With airfares.com.sg, there is an almost comical, Monty Pythonesque stream of phone calls, emails, confirmations, more confirmations, requests to pay (but with nowhere on their website to pay) etc etc. Be warned - they say you can pay online , but when you read the instructions they want you to scan in various documents, email them to the agent, and so forth. It is like a pre-internet procedure. You can make a direct transfer to their bank account, but they ask you to email or call them when you have done this. They were unable to explain to me how they would know it was my money and for which booking.

I started this booking yesterday and still don t have an e-ticket! It is like being in a time warp!

Essentially this is a website of a travel agent that does everything the old fashioned way. It is not a true online booking and payment service. Prices are good, but it was far less convenient than walking into a travel agent with a credit card or cheque book.
