London Travel Guide - VirtualTourist

As I didn’t know where to write this tip I have opted for the local custom as most of the red telephone kiosks will be turning green for charging mobile phones. In October 2015 London had launched their first solarbox for charging mobile phones just outside Tottenham Court Station exit 3 by Dominion Theatre. The scheme will be extended into other.

This really depends how long your staying. But something you may want to cosider paticularly if your staying in a hotel in one of the older buildings around victoria many of London hotel rooms are small so a large case may get in the way. I would recommend probably a small case hand luggage size and also a rucksack or similar to carry your camera.

Wilton’ it’s one of the oldest Grand Musical Halls in the world and hidden in a small alley in East End of London. It’s believed to be from around 1743 and the musical hall it’s attached to three terrace houses which it does makes it a well hidden treasure. In 1843 it got its first licence as a saloon theatre and it started having a full length.

London has always been a great spot for family members of all ages. There are high culture activities, like the Tate Modern or the National Portrait Gallery, as well as more hands-on diversions, like the London Eye and the Royal Observatory, where you'll find the Greenwich Meridian Line. Thanks to London's fantastic "tube," it's very easy to see multiple areas in one day. Visitors might start at Trafalgar Square, visiting the National Portrait Gallery, Leicester Square, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, then hop on the Tube to Westminster, where Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the House of Lords are all located. Other venues not to be missed are the British Museum, which houses the Rosetta Stone, and the Tate Modern in the Southbank area. Another great treat in London is the theatre – visit Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, also along the Southbank, or catch a show in the city's West End. Similar to Washington, DC, London is a great place to soak up culture, since entrance to most of the city's large museums is free, though tickets must be purchased for most special shows and exhibitions.
