In addition, some sites offer discounts for booking all three travel arrangements with them. If you feel more comfortable handling the transaction in person, visit a nearby AAA office or travel agency.

Compare prices and quality. Ensuring the best price and value is a top consideration for travelers. Verify the peak travel season for your destination and if you want to save extra money by flying during the offseason. In addition, being flexible on travel dates and times can save a couple of dollars.

Familiarize yourself with the fine print. Upon booking your package, review your itinerary and cancellation policy. Before committing, make sure to read the company's guidelines on refunds, cancellations, changes or flight delays. Some companies are flexible and reimburse all or part of the cost if you cancel or change your package. Be aware of such policies before purchasing.

Confirm details. If booking online, make sure to print a receipt and take it with you when you travel. Mistakes happen, and a receipt offers proof of your reservation. If you booked the package with an agency, get a copy of the receipt and a contact number.
