Travel nurse jobs are everywhere. The nursing shortage that the U.S. is in has made that possible and there is no end in sight. How do you find good nursing jobs?

Well, it is easy, if you take your time and do your research. There are hundreds of travel nurse companies out there, but, they are not all created equal.

There are many different requirements you should expect from your agency when you are looking to become a travel nurse.

• What is your specialty and does the agency have contracts with hospitals that you can and want to work at?
• What benefits are important to you? Can the agency fulfill your needs?
• What is their pay? Is it comparable to other travel agencies?
• Speak to a recruiter. Do they have answers to your questions? Do you get along well with them? They will be your contact for everything.
• Does the recruiter listen to what you want instead of trying to steer you into what they have available?
• Is the company able to help you advance in your career? Do they offer nursing continuing education?
• Do they offer a 401K/retirement account?

Anything else that is important to you, speak with your recruiter. They will help you to achieve everything you need. They are there to assist their travel nurses and should be able to help guide you in all of your decisions.

Usually the packages that are being offered can be changed. For instance, if you need a 2 bedroom apartment, you can choose to not have one of the other benefits or pay a small monthly stipend. All is negotiable.

Travel nurse jobs are as varied as travel nurses. They are available in major cities and rural areas. Once you are able to determine your needs, let your recruiter know and they will set it up for you.
