Who is CityJet? Is it a good cheap flight company?

We arrive today to Ireland to get to know another European low cost: CityJet. I mean, at low cost prices the company offers a service that does not remember Ryanair and other cheap flight companies. L earn more about this friendly company that belongs to Air France / KLM group and can be an interesting option for flights to and in Europe.

I m here to give my contribution in another cheap flight airline evaluation, CityJet.

The CityJet is the third Irish airline, headquartered in Dublin, neighboring the capital Dublin and is a subsidiary belonging to the group of Air France, operating various destinations in Europe with a fleet of Avro RJ85 and Fokker 50, short-range aircraft, whose differential is being able to operate at small airports, such as London City that was my destination from Amsterdam.

The flight company is considered low-cost, which, in my view, is only noticeable in the ticket price, for, as we shall see, the service is well above the low cost category.

The option to buy a cheap flight ticket from CityJet  took in addition to price, was to check the cheap flight company flight  out. There was even flight options with similar prices in the famous British Airlines, but beyond the flight is operated to Heathrow Airport, which is far away that the London City. So, I paid to see.

The ticket purchase was not made directly on the site. Bought in decolar.com, similar skyscanner.com that would facilitate things if any problem occurred, besides the fact that the price at the agency to be more attractive than the site itself.

How good are Germanwings flights, the low cost airline from Lufthansa?

The phenomenon of low cost airline and low fares revolutionized aviation worldwide, but especially in Europe.

The response of tradicional airlines was launching its own low cost airlines to compete with Ryanair, Vueling and others. Today, we get to know Germanwings a low cost airline form the giant Lufthansa group. We used the low cost airline services on an internal flight by Germany and we approved it. Between May and June I made a trip to Europe thanks to a mega promotion from a TAM, a cheap airline in Brazil. For internal transfers, I used the Easyjet and Vueling services, however, within Germany, we flew with Germanwings. My flight departed from Berlin (TXL) to Cologne (CGN) without delay.

The option for Germanwings was found at Skyscanner site. The airfare ticket we purchased was not the cheapest, given that I was traveling with a suitcase, but it was more inviting. The Germanwings is a low cost airline or better, a cheap flight company from the Lufthansa Group, and beyond to making cheap flights within Germany, serves more than 90 destinations.

We realized the purchase of the tickets directly from the Germanwings website. The site has multiple language options besides German, as Spanish and English, for example. In addition to payment by credit cards, the company also offers the option of paying through Paypal (in both modes, there is an increase of € 9.50).

Of the three options available (Basic, Smart and Flex) opted for Smart rate, € 69.99 (€ 20 more than the first option) that enables a baggage item up to 23kg, snack and preferred seating, leading with have more legroom.

Flying with Aer Lingus Irish cheap flight tickets company

Not as famous as Ryanair, but a great opportunity for those looking for cheap flight tickets in Europe.

The airline Aer Lingus was founded by the Irish government in 1936 to promote air services between Ireland and the UK. The company celebrated 75 years in May 2011 and today carries over 10 million passengers a year to over 70 destinations including Ireland, UK, Europe and the United States.
